100 + head of elk broke through the ice

100 + head of elk broke through the ice near Echo dam Utah. Most of the heard swam their way trough the broken ice making it to shore. Local sportsman pulled another five to safety. Unfortunately, four cows and one small bull died.

They were lucky that only 5 of the 100 died. Usually when you hear about something like that the whole here is gone.
