I think it would be fine if shots are kept to a reasonable distance and a high quality load or bullet is used. The 10 mm is very close to performance to the 41 magnum.

Just the fact that it's 10 MM I wouldn't have had it built in 10 MM for self defense, Just wanted something with enough power to anchor a Hog. Got a great price on the reciever so thought what the heck, The 6" barrel and compensater makes it real manageable and the accuracy is superb.
