I killed my first deer today. I hunted Saturday morning and didn't see anything. Saturday afternoon a pair of spikes and does came out. The spikes started fighting hard! They weren't just sparring like you would think, they were really into it. It looked like the doe was the mom of the 2 spikes because she hated them fighting.

She would come and hop on her back legs and they'd scatter, just to do it again in a few seconds. Maybe the spikes were born really early this spring, or else I don't think that doe would have cared if they were fighting.

Went out this morning, and about 7:55 a doe and a pair of fawns was walking through the woods. The smallest fawn came first, followed by doe and bigger fawn. They went through my shooting lane, then acted like they were about to leave, but came angling back to me. The smallest fawn got downwind and smelled me I guess, and she jumped back about 20 feet. The doe and the bigger fawn did the same thing, thinking the little fawn saw/smelt something. As they were about to leave, the small fawn walked through a little opening and I shot her. She ran about 25 yards or so. Thank goodness for Kentucky giving the youth a week before muzzleloader.

Sorry for the confusion, but this was my first deer this year. Sorry that I missed putting that in the post.
