20011 Tejon JHO Hunt Apps! Hunt is May 20-22nd

Jason, I'm scrambling to get a pig tag. Big 5 doesn't have them in their Point of Sale and as usual late season pig tags are hard to find. Thanks DFG for making it a PITA again to go hunting. See above post about another hunter who had to chase their tail also to get a damn pig tag.

I got mine at Big 5 in Glendale, they had their POS up and running, and now I have this funky Thermal Ticket for a pig. I already turned in my last tagboard pig-tag for the Tejon Hunt, but I never like to be without one now. I was driving up in the hills around Lake Silverwood, and saw where someone had dumped a big red pig by the side of the road, and it was attracting a few scavengers...Couldn't believe that it was a wild pig, but the area is right below the lake, and while it could have been a domesticated pig, the coloration was a little off.
I'm sorry to hear people are having problems getting tags. You'd think that the fact they are a pure profit item, the state would get their act together.

Well for you folks who can't find a pig tag I guess you will just have to hire someone who has one to shoot your pig for you.

I sent mine last Wednesday, so you should have it today JB. Sorry to be so last minute. I got my pig tag at the Big 5 in El Segundo. I'm not crazy about the thermal imaging paper either. The cashier warned me to keep it out of the sun and away from high heat. Their hunting licenses are on the same paper too. She said it WASN'T a good idea to run it through a laminator because of the heat. Pretty rinky-dink IMO. Have a nice trip next week. Aloha
