2003 Fresh Shed

Here is a link...hopefully, for the first fresh shed found on the ranch this past weekend. We had a hog hunt this weekend and everybody saw lots of deer with only one horn or no horns.

The time has come!

Not a bad looking shed to start the season off!! I noticed that future drop tine on back side of main beam.

It's free and easy to use.

Shaq, I'm working on the other side. It helps that I know what to look for. I videoed this buck during the rut. He is a straight eight except for the small drop.

Is the upper left shed and the middle left shed two years of the same buck? They look extremely similiar, the left middle shed looks larger, but similiar. Did you find the matched set close together? Nice days find! Do you ever find any elk sheds? I live fairly close to the PA herd, and will spend a few days searching this spring, the competion is fierce though

No they are both fresh sheds, found the middle one about 3 miles from the top set.

I plan to look for elk sheds this spring, haven't tried before. the KY herd is about 2.5 hours from where I live.
