Paulc, AWESOME. Do I have your permission to send your story to a friend. I believe it is one of the best I have ever had the pleasure to read. Just what I needed before I head to the Pecos area in Oct. in my first elk hunt in 30yrs. I don't have kids but, I try and teach any I meet something about the outdoors(Ranger/job). As for the head, you EARNED that one. Besides we ALL know it does not get better than that , and she'll be asking if you got one yet. even IF you don't, the idea of that hunt with with him..... well ,gotta go I'm a tough guy, and I've got something in my eye....
