2007 - Year of the Boar

Was looking at the Chinese calendar and 2007 is the year of the boar. For those of you with a Ouiji board or telepathic relatives will this mean more pigs for us? An uptick in the sightings and killings? Fuller freezers and more tales to tell around the campfire? Will the pigs find out and devise plans to counter this extra mojo?

I think it means the hogs will get a little extra "protection", which means that it's gonna be harder to hit them this year. That's why I'm asking Santa for a shiny, new .325wsm this Christmas. When the Year of the Boar rolls around, I'm gonna have some anti-mojo mojo and put the whupdown on 'em.

According to the Chinese calendar and my own interpretations:

The month of the boar is December. No wonder the low success at Choppers.

The time of (note: "of" not "for") is 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Meaning, low probably of seeing a pig during these times.

Boar's orientation: North to Northwest. Avoid Genghus Canyon at Tejon.

Boar's color: blue. Don't wear blue bikini briefs while hunting pig.

The .325 WSM is just the right hog medicine the Doctor ordered. I just love smacking Mr. Piggy with the right stuff. Mr. Piggy doesn't even squeal, just expires in short order. 'Nuff said.

Hey guys, I thing the Year of the Boar is a great thing. I think this means that I will finally get one!!!! This just so happens to be my new years resolution as well. And in fact, I am even starting my year off with a hunt the first weekend of the year, the 6th. Wish me luck and we will show those damn elusive boars this year where they can stick it!!!!!
