2010 Michael Farrior-IGFA Annual Juniors' Tournament Set for August

The Marlin Club of San Diego will be holding its annual Juniors' Fishing Tournament beginning at dawn on Saturday, August 21, 2010. For the first time in the history of the annual event, the Marlin Club is inviting up to forty (40) IGFA Junior Members to participate in addition to the club's junior members. Applications for a free, IGFA Junior Membership will be available to any junior up to age 15 who wants to fish. There will be a 'goody bag' for each participant and the overall winner will receive a special rod and reel.
Categories will include: billfish, yellowtail, tuna and dorado, plus the Killer B's (Barries, Bass, Bonito and Buts = Halibut). A special prize package will be given to the junior for the largest fish in each category.
Sponsoring shall entail that the sponsored junior(s) fish on the boat of a Marlin Club member or with a Marlin Club member on a non-member boat and/or be registered with the IGFA prior to the start of the tournament.
It should be a great day of fishing with family and friends on Marlin Club member boats.
Entry for all categories is free.
Application Deadline: August 7th.
