Good morning Lake Sonoma Pig Hunters!!!
Here are the current totals (courtesy of our Lake Sonoma volunteer)

Registered hunters: 690
Sows taken: 17
Boars taken: 8
**Most pigs taken by a single hunter: 3
** Number of hunters with more than one pig: 4

wow, over half the pigs taken by 0.6% of the hunters!

has anyone else noticed that the pigs up there are absolutely covered in fleas and ticks? 3 out of three pigs I have seen killed up there probably had more bugs crawling on them than all 30+ big game animals ive killed in my life combined

HELLO LAKE SONOMA PIG HUNTERS!!

Here are the final stats for the Lake Sonoma Archery Pig Hunt. Our volunteer came to this conclusion when logging all of the Daily Check-in sheets that hunters were required to fill out before each hunt. There were 784 hunters registered for this season. Of those 784 hunters, 270 hunters never turned in a Daily Check-in sheet. How many pigs were actually taken this season??? With that said here are the totals based on the information that was given to us by the hunters themselves:

Registered Hunters: 784
Boars = 12
Sows = 22
Total pigs taken = 34

As always it was a pleasure answering all of your questions/emails this season. Hunting season is by far my favorite season to work at Lake Sonoma! Call or email in October for information on next seasons archery hunt. Until then if you have any Q’s please feel free to email or call.
