2014 August Hunt - Semi-Autos & Pig Tracks

Just realized I hadn't made a thread about this hunt. I've been posting a thread for all my other guided hunts, so I figure I will share this one as well.

This hunt was in August 2014, just a couple months ago. The guys asked to do some target shooting on Friday before the hunt. I took them to a part of the ranch with a lot of open space. Wish I could recall the exact calibers. I think a few of the guys guns were either .223 or .243. Here are a couple pictures from target shooting..





Its five of us (four hunting and me guiding). Here are the guys ready to start hunting...



We saw quite a bit of wildlife. Spooked some geese. Saw some deer.







Pig down!



Some good ol' fashioned teamwork dressing & skinning.



The pig weighed in at 133 lbs.



Also, I did get a good picture of some tracks that weekend!

Congrats on another successful hunt.

You out near Hensley lake? I took my first ever wild pig many years back near that area on a private ranch. Lots of pigs around there. ig-laughing:

Not too far from there. I think they might allow hunting at Hensley. Ever try that?

Haven't tried it though I did look into it. Whenever I go out there I am heading to private land which is always better and worth the long drive.
