Kdreher101,
Very nice, 19 years on the same ranch, sounds like you have a great relationship with the owner. It took me about two years helping out on a cattle ranch to get invited to hunt the property, I am allowed to hunt hogs and yotes as well, but can not touch the deer. Which is a shame cause there are a few dandies on the property, but I can live with that to be able to have access to prime property.

To tell the truth I didnt even know it was a boar I was walking along a cow trail it was still kind of dark and i looked down and saw a ton of hog tracks, well i walked about fifty yards and i could hear the pigs grunting ahead of me as I crept over a rise I saw a sow moving from left to right so I pulled up on her and shot.Well she came running straight at me so I kept my eye on her and jacked another shell in,she turned a little and I saw move ment to my left and saw more pigs scatering all over so I started shoting the next shot put the bore down but I thought it was a sow I fired off 3 more shots and I drilled another sow in the head with my last shot.Three down, and I forgot my knifes in my truck when i meet my dad in the mourning. So I walked back to meet up with the rest of the guys at the truck ,I didnt even know it was a boar with tusks like that till we got back to do the gutting.

That is surely a "Mondo" set of cutters...and you got "THREE"? :) Boy, have you got some freezer meat for awhile! I've got a neighbor whose mother-in-law lives up in Grass Valley and has deer ALL over her place, but she won't let us hunt'em cause' she regards'em as sort of personal pets! :-( But if the hogs ever find her garden, I'm sure she'll change her tune...or at least we hope so! You gonna do that skull European style? It'd bleach up real nice!
