4th Annual Fishing Day
Gray Lodge Wildlife Area
The Gridley Recreation/Community Services along with Butte County Fish and Game Commission, Gridley Quota Club and many other area businesses and organizations are sponsoring a terrific FREE fishing event open to kids 15 years old and under at the Gray Lodge Wildlife Area on Saturday, July 27, 2002. A pond will be stocked with Catfish and bait and tackle will be available for those who need it. There will be a prize drawing and a prize awarded for the largest fish of the day!
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and derby hours are from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Last years derby was a great success with lots of fishermen and plenty of cheerleaders. Anyone, including those over 16 with a valid fishing license, may fish after 1:00 p.m. If you would like more information about this popular community event you can call the Gridley Recreation Department at (530) 846-3264.
