Is this a dead round or dying? Finding ammo not just in stock but for sale is becoming increasingly difficult. I haven't even had a chance to fire mine yet but have stocked about 60 rds. I really want brass to reload.

No its not dead its just sold out everywhere. Check SSarmory.com they make rounds for it. The last time i checked they had lots in stock

I have a stag 68 upper I also suggest joining 68forums.com I have everything I need to reload 68 if you live near the IE your more than welcome to come over. I have a dillon 650xl and a RCBS single stage press to use to reload and develope a load

Thank you both for the help! I am living in Yucca Solus so I am farely close to you. I was pricing out a Lee reloading kit. I did a lot of research but need a definitive shopping list.

Depending on how much you reload i would just get a single stage reload kit i suggest rcbs they are built better

Ok I heard that also and I think you were advocating the Rcbs in another thread. I need to dump another expensive hobby first and then make my purchases.

salt water aquarium? before you buy a press you might want to try one out first. I suggest coming over and trying out the ones I have... but I will be gone after the 5th to hunt Idaho Im not sure when or if I will be back lol Im hoping to get a job up there.

Nice good luck with the job and I will gladly make the drive for some hands on experience. Actually my other hobby besides hunting, fishing and shooting is warhammer 40k! Google it lol its expensive.

I also looked into possibly building an AR in this caliber. How good is it as a hunting caliber? Will it do good on hogs up to 300 yards?? Any input...

yes it will and Ive seen elk taken with it as well. Youtube 6.8spc hunting

I use a cheap scope under $100 you dont need anything special on an AR there isnt much recoil to damage a scope.

I am using a Vortex diamond back. It survived my AR 308 so for a 250 scope its great.
