8 Track's hog. That's all I've been allowed to say. She wants to tell the story. With work, kids, and all, she probably won't write it up until later tonight. Of all the hunts I've been on, this was by far my most memorable, and one of the toughest. Congrats Honey. You deserve it.

Congrats Julie! I'm really happy for you and glad you guys were able to make this hunt happen. I know you hunted really hard and you earned that trophy. You accomplished a feat that 99.9% of women in this world will never get to experience. I hope it feels empowering because you deserve it. I truly admire your determination and the commitment you made to make this hunt a reality. You had to pass your hunter's safety course, then take the time away from work and kids, stay in a tent with your smelly husband, eat camp food, hike hard, endure the weather, brave your hubby's nutty driving on scary roads, stare through binoculars, go through the mental turmoil of a missed opportunity, and even turn around on the freeway to give it one last chance. That is true determination! I know it means the world to Brent. You went through all that, yet still you were able to keep it together when it counted and you got the job done. That is truly awesome! Well done!

I gotta hear the 8 track story. Brent has a way of coming up with nicknames.

Great job Brent, if you want to take your wife on a little easier hunt check out Bryson Hesperia resort, all the comforts of home plus Pigs/turkeys/yotes and a gazillion ground squirrels.

That is so cool Julie. Brent has been talkin about this hunt for years, hoping one day it would all come together. I must say, you stepped up to the plate and crushed one out of the park. Get your hunter's saftey cert, practicing on your gun, and stalkin pigs up and down Tejon hills...that is something else. Especially with you having a bum knee. Talk about tough! Major props to you for toughing it out. Mount that sucker and put it next to Brent's tusker. That way, you'll have Ma and Pa pigs over the mantle. Congrats to you!!
