8Track,
You are most welcome for the boots. Glad to be of help.

This is a good group to share your experiences with. One in while they have the internet equivalent of a belly bucking contest, but we all have our moments.

The trouble with sharing this stuff with non hunters is it can be such an arduous education process. It can be worthwhile, but it is a struggle overcoming prejudice. Especially when you are so excited about a great accomplishment and the person you are telling it to goes "Eeeuuu!!!" or worse. Been there. Keep being proud of your story and yourself.

How are you having it processed? What kind of sausage are you having made? I can almost smell the ham & bean stew...........

Nice write up 8 Track. I can see that there is a lot of literary accumen in the Track home. You didnt just kill a pig, you got the entire experience-soup to nuts. The leg burning hikes, killer views, and of course your husband's incredible awful gas. You are definitely one of few.

And here I bitch about having to watch a girly movie for 3 hours. You hunt for three days with no running water or comforts. Much props.

Thanks for the story. Now the girls can have mommy break out a huntin story at the Track BB-Q's.

Julie I will read that book and discuss it with Meg if you can get her to go with me on a POR.

Congrats again, also it is obvious which one in that household has the literary genius genes.

One last shout out for all the kind and awesome words you all sent. This was truly an exciting experience and I’m so glad it all went down the way it did. Sharing it with you all added even another exciting element of this whole experience. I got goose bumps when I read your stories – I still can’t believe you’re talking about ME. So, a BIG thanks again.

We have already eaten some of the pork, and its best thing ever!

One Track hasn’t finished the book – yet, but I can tell he’s been reading it :)

He still has to take the kids to school one more time…life is good, 8 track

That is awesome. Congrats on the hog and great story! One day hopefully I can get my wife to do the same. She's not much interested in rifles, but she watches all the archery shows with me. She may be the next Tiffany from Gettin' Close

Anyways, we can start a JHO husbands vs. wives Ham Fest....

El Vaquero,
The wives will win hands down. Sooooo, don't even try or you'll be embarassed. On another note, these folks(SpeckM, Doccherry,8track) can write books and sell 'em and make gazillions and buy their own hunting hog ranch and me'bbe we can get invited on a few holidays to partake of the hog infestation. Oh well!!! 'Nuff said.
