Here is a close up of the "Milwaukee Buck". 18" inside, with decent mass all the way through the beams. Shortish tines though, only grossed 143". Still planning on whitening this skull.
nice finds guys I've been slowing down to look at most of the roadkills I see to see if any have racks but haven't found any so far, there's one on my way home I gotta look at closer which I suspect might be a buck, we'll see I never noticed it there until yesterday
just thought I'd add my latest find to this thread, hopefully this will be the only one I find like this, this was also my first "as it was found" shots, I can't believe I contained my excitement long enough to take these lol
Here are some elk skulls I found while laying out a logging road this past week. Obviously they are quite old, and they are not as I found them. Interesting note, all 6 of them have bullet holes in the forehead, and the bulls had their horns sawed off. Such a shame......
I was out yesterday shed hunting, but found a dead deer instead. There was fur everywhere, and about 4 bones. Off to the side was the backbone and skull. It was a 3 point that looked to be about a year and a half old. The spike side is big for a spike, about 10 inches. Sad to see a dead buck, but the coyotes ate well!
