A couple of macros

I am trying to get better at taking macros. These two turned out not bad. It is tough to get the proper depth of field when you are so close. These were taken with the Canon 10D and Sigma 105mm macro lens.

Here is the best shot I got of a honey bee. Hopefully I can get some better ones later.

Beautiful Pics Saskman. That 10D really is a nice camera. Someday maybe I'll be able to step up to the Digital SLR.

Gorgeous pictures. Great color! It looks like both of them could have been just a little bit darker(although I know my monotor is set pretty bright), so you maybe could have stopped down some and gotten a little more DOF. Did you use center spot focus? For both of these, particularly the bee, where the FG is so bright, you could have the camera set the exposure for your subject and let the other stuff be a little darker.
Nice shots; I'm jealous of you for having that great camera!!!!!!!

Very nice Saskman.

I lik ethe first best, not as much going on. Although I would use the original and crop out the yellow on the left of the pic, it is drawing away from the gorgeous butterfly.
