Yes a nice find. I,ve found a couple of those while shedding too. Could you tell what happened to the buck.

He was shot thru the rib's with a rifle(shattered bones)........

that sucks when they aren't recovered. I actually went back and checked out the bones of the buck I found last year a few weeks ago, dug up the ground a little with sticks, all the bones I found were intact, still don't know what killed that deer. Really odd, especially considering that the buck was only 2 1/2
