Dozer here. I was turkey huntin while these huntin fools where chasing pigs. Whilst driving in at oh dark thirty Thursady night I was attacked by a madman on a dozer which created a nice big dent in the RR fender and bumper of the new Dodge. Now it looks like a REAL hunting rig. Mud all over it and a nice ding for some class.
Just disregard all those nasty rumors from Chopper's neighbors there was crazed poachers tearing up the hillsides up there late that night. I just took a wrong turn going in and had a lil trouble on an slight incline.
Turkey story in the turkey forum hopefully tonight.
Thanks Chopper, Bubba, Kirk, Zimm and Mike for a good time.
Hey guys, definitely good times by all. Spectr, good to see ya again, as well everyone.
I just tried to download my pics and my camera battery is dead. Sorry for the delay but I won't be able to post or send any pics until tonight, I'm off to work.

As for me, I didn't hunt...I was just busy humping the chamise driving pigs to Orso, AS, and Bubba! Don't mention it boys...I love it when a plan comes together!
For all you lurkers, get yourselves up to Choppers...it is the best hunting trip to be had!
As bubba dropped me off directly down hill and out of sight from the boar, i was tearing arse to get up that hill. I knew the hog was pretty big since he stood out from so far. As i neared the dozer cut, i slowed way down anticapating him showing at any moment...cruising from the first cut to the second, the pig appeared in a small wash walking up hill at 70 yards. I could clearly see nuts and plenty of exposed teeth. The only problem was that the chamise was too thick to get any closer. Knowing this hill well, i knew this dozer cut connected w/ the next on the top......as i jammed up hill, i noticed the pig head directly and with purpose into the chamise. Watching for a few moments and thinking the pig was now bedded, i marked the spot mentally and planned my attack. Now nearing the top of the cut and looking back, the boar was now in a small saddle feeding slowly. 80 yards and in range, but not in range for a hog that size. Cresting the top and checking the wind, the stalk was directly downhill......the only problem was the orange hat bobbing down the hill in front of me. I still have no idea how bubba made it there before me, but knowing the stalk was on...i retraced my steps to watch the action. I was suprised to see bubba charge the animal w/ knife in hand and a bag of popcorn in the other....alright, i made that up.......but he put a real good stalk on the boar and i eased back down hill to get a shot if it spooked or was wounded. I saw the pig jump but never heard the bow, knowing the pig spotted him before he was able to shoot..i readied my bow, a quick 70 yard shot presented itself, but pass'd. It was a long walk to the truck and i looked for that boar the next two days.
