A Winter Weather Sampler

The folks to the south of us in the Ozarks got the winter blast more heavily thna we did, but it was still miserable.

I parked my truck away from possible falling tree branches from the freezing rain.

This little guy was sitting at the entrance to someones drive on the grvel road that leads to town.

I hate it when it starts doing this to the windows on my truck

Right now the temps arent too awful bad, steady at 18 with a windchill of 14. We are to drop below zero tonight and tomorrow as the cluod cover leaves us.

I'm sure glad that I'm retired from carrying mail. That's hard on an old mans body slippin and sliding on that ice trying to bring all you peoples your mail. I've taken my share of falls over the years. A few broken bones but it's nice now that I can just look out the window instead of having to go out in that stuff.

You retired folk need to get out more often. Speaking of taking some falls, I just fell on my butt going in to the ladder stand. ran 2 does off and then I went to take another step and my feet went out from under me. The ladder stand had too much ice on it to sit in so I chose to go stand on the treeline amongst some cedars. I seen a 4 point come out right in front of me, let him walk. Then looked where he was headed and there were 6 more does out in the corn ahead of him. Nothing else came out near me. The ice was so bad on the weeds that a deer could have heard me walking in a half mile away. Oh well, bow season is officially over here. And I think it ended colder than other years with all the ice and sleet.

Once again, you came out ahead of me, here's a big old congrats again to ya!

And the headlights, well I had it running trying to thaw the ice...

Texas is finally getting some of that cold weather... Texans along the coast are saying "what is this white stuff??".. Hey, and good buck too!
