I figure some of you JHOers have been to Texas to hunt hogs so I am looking for Intel. I will likely go to Houston in the coming 6 months with a colleague. We looking to find a fun place to hunt hogs and bring some meat back home afterward. Not interested in trophy boars (or boars at all for that matter).

Any intel or recommendations much appreciated.

Team building!!

Thanks. I looked at it. The Heli hunting is too much like the Ride of the Valkyries scene in Apocalypse Now. Vietnam on hogs. The night hunting looks interesting. Thanks again for the heads up.

Thanks for the heads up g791. Independence ranch looks very good. I will try to arrange something there once I get a firm idea of when I need to be in Austin as it keeps getting put off. If it is over the summer, I'll pass on the hunting given that it is now over 100F there. I don't know about the hogs but I roast at those temperatures.
