The American River Conservancy is trying to shut down BLM property to hunting. They did it to the Cronan Ranch. You cannot even bowhunt Spring Turkey there, Why? The horse people have lobbied to ban us from hunting there certain times of the year. Hunters have not shown up to these meetings to help defend our rights to use them. The American River's Conservancy's ultimate goal is to shut down all of the property to all use because of endangered plants. I live in that area so I know. Of course the meetings have been announced in Placerville's Mountain Democrat and who reads the newspapers anymore. We need to attend or at least show a presence, I have one Friend that is pissed to high heaven. If you care anything about hunting please attend! Spread the word.
