I don't do much of the butchering at my house (as you can imagine), but I broke down a bunch of rabbits by myself last weekend and was glad to start with something small. It wasn't pretty, but thank God I wasn't entereing it into a contest or anything.
Love where you leave the soaking head, too. We've got two soaking in the back yard now, but our yard is big enough that we can pretty much keep it away from everyone.
awsome job jean I like to do my own butchering too I will take off the backstrasps before sawzalling down the spine that way you get long ribs and pretty backstaps or backstrap steaks can't beat doinit all your self, I just wish I could do the hams as goood as the butchers. good job ig-laughing: nice to hear a lady say I hunt and I like it, not, well if thats what you want to do well ok then we can do that,
oh yea almost forgot, the small pieces, save and freeze and if you get a deer you'll have some of that too mix and grind together perfect ground meat you can also add some beef fat from the store if you need but I don't.
