Lve2Hunt left yesterday, no hogs. His group were on them at Camp Bob and FHL but didn't close the deal.
The friend of Nick's (Calijeephunter) hit a hog today with the bow and it laid down but when he got up on it it rose up and was looking for a fight. It ended up running into the closed area and he got the biologist to go in with a dog and they never found it. He thought it was a good hit and the pig laid down right away but no joy. Gonna look for birds circling tomorrow there.
No hog for me yet, missed a bobcat that walked right in front of me and I had a slug in. I tried to swap ammo and as soon as I closed the breech that cat went off like a missile. Never got the bead on him before he hit the far treeline.
Lots of fresh sign and piglets running around, should be a good spring.
One big boar in the cooler at FHL, one of the elk guys got it. 193 lbs dressed out. One side of toofas missing. Big ugly black shaggy boar.
Weather has been great, almost too warm, it's been getting up to 67F the past two days. Roads are in pretty good shape for all the rain they got last week.
