We just found out that the fhl shack is closed sunday(tomarrow) and there is no hunting on the fort on monday. sunday is the last for hunting this weekend

who told you this, the phone and web page says open untill 1/2/12, and my slips say im good until monday. I just talked to the guy in the shack around 2:00 and he didnt say a thing about, i think he would have said something to me.

Day 2 of hawg hunt, im over by the ammo bunker on the fort, lots of rooting here under the oaks, some fresh n some old. Word is pigs are moving through here to bed north of me. lil frost on the pumpkin tuis morning, 25f when i hit the trail in. Fog burned off early today. Got the rem 870 with hevi shot foster slugs for arnold n steel fed for the quail n bobcats. Liking my new garmin foretrex 401 wrist band gps, simple but handy n quick.

Hey spectr on your 870 is it a smooth bore or rifle. And if it is a smooth how do those slugs work out of it?
