No elk hunts to get in the way now.

I'm new to this forum and pig hunting. What's required to hunt FHL other than a license and tags. The last time I loked a few years ago it was archery or shotgun.

Need to submit an application ahead of time, and you need a 4x4 vehicle. You cant drive UTV'S on the base. Are they reserving all spots for just people on this blog or is it still a normal open weekend?

Just a heads up, Their will be military training on FHL from Feb 9th - March 3rd. So bring all of the toys because their will be training areas closed.

You don't need 4x4 to hunt FHL but a 4x4 will allow you to get to more spots.

ARRG.. I couldn't make it to the new years hunt now i cant make it to this one. My girlfriend would kill me if i was gone hunting for valentines day. i may have to make a solo trip when i have a weekend off.

I am in. A bow gets you almost anywhere on FHL, even if some TA's are closed (I want TA 3). I'll be camping and bringing plenty of firewood.

Do you guys think there is still enough time to get the application in? I read you can't by the weekend permit at the window but, can you get annual permit at the window?

HS - It normally takes a couple of weeks for them to process your permit. With that said you do have just under two weeks until the hunt, it wouldnt hurt to try....no you cant buy at the window you'll need to mail.

LOL first year of the Fleetwood E4 with Honda gen, microwave, fridge, hard wall shower & toilet, a/c, dinette slides out and a it has a 8' x 7' front deck but I don't have the toys for it.
