Can you still see those hogs up there? I thought the mustard would be 12' tall by now! I need to get up there and do a little scouting/pig hunting soon. I finally ended the turkey season!! Those birds are fun to hunt but drive me crazy at the same time.

The mustard is two feet taller now than when the picture was taken. The grass and nettles are four feet deep in places too. Fortunately the country isn't flat, so you can see 'em out on the sides of the hills, or get up high and look down on them. The upside is the grass is soft enough and tall enough to get in close.

Josh and I went into the hay field on Terra and the hay was up to my nipples, and I'm 6' 4"! The hogs are definitely "on" right now except the wind has been murder: average windspeed two days ago was 39 mph. Guaranteed that it was 20 mph faster up on Kumbar.

A little sign, but way down from years past. There's so much grain out that they don't have to work very hard at all. The field was so tall that we busted six bucks in velvet bedded down and all we could see was from the eyes up. That's tall. Since then we got another bout of rain and two more weeks of sun. However, the wind has been just plain awful and is starting to dry the seed heads out.

We do intend to close that field for the disabled women's veterans hunt in three weeks, so nobody can bugger the hogs out of the fields. At least, that's the plan........
