well since wavesfr isn't going to reply...........here's the story.......I was suppose to meet wavesfr up at the club friday evening but had to work late......so I'm sitting at home still ticked at having to stay late on a friday when someone pulls up in the driveway......I look out and see it's wavesfr and figure he's got a buck as he was suppose to stay the weekend at the club.....no such luck.....he hadn't seen many deer so he decided to call it a weekend.......I told him he may as well stay the night and we'd go up on the hill in the morning and see if we can jump up a buck......still having plenty of daylight we decide to go down and check the creek for any signs of hog's......sure enough we see several hog's with one big one by itself.......(couldn't tell if it was mr. lucky or not but this hog was round as a barrel)......we put the sneek on them when 2 sows and a bunch of smaller hog's come out in the open....wavesfr takes aim and drops one of them in it's track's.......the rest scatter like a covey of quail......we never did see the big hog but after talking we think it may have been a pregnant sow......was black as coal like mr. lucky but was way too fat..anywho this sow was in great shape with alot of fat......should be good eatin.....we hunted in the morning jumping a spork that would have beat my record but wavesfr decided to let it grow up a little....all in all a good weekend.

Yep thats the way it went! Got blessed with hog & it's going to be great eating. This is the first sow I've shot all the rest have been boars so far. So looking forward to the taste test.
LOL yep could've taken the spork title for sure. I just could'nt do that to My friend lol.
Thats ok he'll be a good buck one day "gotta save some for seed"
As you can see good shape for not hardly any feed around this year.

Sounds like it all worked out. My buddy Rick and his Brother went to the ranch this weekend and saw lots of does and his brother actually missed a good buck.

So this pig wasn't from the ranch?

I dunno but- I think some of the credit goes to you BirdDawg... you did have to get off the couch and use your expert spotting/scouting skills to find the piggies? Right? No matter what Speck says about you.

We won't be up there last weekend was My last trip for A zone = tag soup for Me
I did'nt even stay the whole time. I went up thursday morning & left friday evening.
Gave up dude! I'll be really surprized if someone else gets a buck. I seen does everywhere
about 22. You know the drill, gonna be lots of drop outs. Everybodys getting tired of the conditions.
After being told alot of things are going to get done & arent unless We do it. The owner is starting to sqwack about it too so maybe? I have a feeling it will still be on us to make improvements.
I really only signed on that ranch for camping,ridin & pig/bird huntin. I always hunted FHL for deer
Which I think I will be doing next year I've always done good there. Anyways enough of that LOL

BD & I are heading up to X12 next sat & I have to go down to brea to do a job next week so I won't be making it.

We can all get together later for some drinkin & piggin though.
