Hi all hunters,

Here are few pictures of another succesful trip up North last weekend. We all got one pig per hunter, there are total four of us hunters.
The pigs weigh between 200-350 lbs/each.

Enjoy!

A truck load........that is awesome. You guys probably didn't have to work very hard to find those hogs.

Did you guys weigh those pigs? From the look in the pics, they look to be 140-150 pounders. My dad killed the boar in the pic below in March 2003 and everybody was guessing it would weigh 250-300 pounds easy. I guessed it at 190 pounds. When we weight it with the gutts and everything, only reads 175 and it was a big boar with 2" cutters.

Premier;

Nice hogs. Looks like you guys had a blast. Welcome to JHO.

Live2Hunt: Who gives a chit if they were off 50 lbs or so. Huntin' and fishin' are the only sports that accomodate fudging on size and weight. It's all about fun in the great outdoors, and exaggerating around the campfire.

Unless it's intended to be a joke, I just tend to be more on the realistic side. I guess I'm not very good at exaggerating.

Thank you all for your compliments.

Yes, we did weigh these pigs.
The largest one is abouit 345 lbs, it gave hell of a hard time to drag it out to the truck. The second largest one weighed at 272 lbs and the other two are closed to 250 lbs. These number are without gutting yet.

We hunted at my friend private's land in the Lake County area. His land is about 1,000 acres and not open to the public. He tried to keep these hogs for his family and friends to hunt only. Sorry guys.

Man, there are lot of pigs in these area. The terrain is a little bit rough than my previous trip at Moore Ranch, there are lot of trees and some deep hills.
We started the hunt at about 6:30 am, and after a short walk, we saw some foot prints of the first group of pigs on the trail. About 45 minutes later, we saw a group of about 7 of these pigs near a pond. As I mentioned, there are four of us go hunting, we decided to shoot at three of the largest pigs in the group at the same time (count to three). I and Tom got two of the pigs, but the other hunter missed his pig completely and the rest of the pigs ran away. It took four of us about 30 minutes to get these two pigs out to the truck. We got back to camp, weighed the pigs and get some rest and have lunch but no bacon yet.

Later that afternoon, the other two hunters got two more pigs about 1/2 mile away from the previous pigs and called for the day. Have some B.B.Q pigs that evening, it was GREAT.

Thanks and enjoy.
