Antlers Dropping Already!!!

Hope everyone had a good hunting season and is getting geared up for some shed hunting this spring. Went out today to video some mulie bucks on the winter ground and was suprised to see two different bucks that only had one antler on their head. I have never seen them drop this early before, I guess it must be on account of the much colder weather this year. Good luck.

Friends in Pennsylvania are reporting bucks dropping racks in fact one of their sons shot one with only a single antler that separated as it dropped to the snow.My friend said other bucks are still calling with full racks.

I had a buck come in almost 2 weeks ago with 1 antler. I have pictures of him and he did lose it as it is not a broken antler. Southern MI. This is very early here

it seems that deer are dropping antlers early all over, I just posted a pic to the front of my site that someone sent me in an email this morning, really nice 6 point side, I've also read a lot of stories this year of guys shooting bucks and having the antlers popping off on them.

I am not going to start looking yet, too much snow on the ground. It is much colder this year and I am assuming that is the reason for the early sheds. Still am going to wait until the first part of February until I hit the hills.

I have to start early here,to many people with snowmobiles and four wheelers around here.
Most have no regard for the animals either.As long as they find the antlers anyway they can................
I still like the old fashion walking,I guy can see more stuff.............
