Any begginer tips for Grass Valley Wilderness Area?

Hey guys, I haven't been in years, since I was a teen actually. I was hoping to go up there though in the coming weeks to see if there's any jack rabbit up there. Does anyone know if I'll have any issues with using a 22LR to take small game there though? I'm a bit confused with §311 section G where it says that rifles and pistols are allowed outside of LA County. Does that mean I'd be ok with using a Savage 22LR? Here's the link and the verbage:

• (g) In addition to the methods listed in (a), (b), (c), (d), (e) and (f) above, firearm rifles and pistols may be used for taking rabbits and squirrels only; except in Los Angeles County where rifles and pistols may not be used.

AS long as where you are hunting is not in LA County, you may use a .22 for hunting rabbits

CCI is all I have found recently, usually in Sportsman's or Turners, But definitely check the family owned places in your area.

I just went to Big 5 and got the one they offer, forget the brand but I believe they have two versions. Just let them know you need non-lead and they'll find it for you
