Any chance for Elk hunt in the West?

I did not get drawn in CA or AZ, but would still love to get a hunt in. Are there any bull hunts where I could get a tag? Would be willing to pay for a landowner tag if the price was not that high. Any thoughts or recommendations?

OTC archery is available in Oregon. Sierra Pacific Industries usually auctions their landowner tags in Trinity County. Call their office in Weaverville to get details. You can call DFG in Sac to get a list of landowner tags, I think, and you could call them.

I hear that some NM ranchers are having a hard time selling their LO permits. Prices might be falling.

There are still plenty of tags for either sex in Idaho. Any weapon.Go to the Idaho Fish and Game site and you will see a list of available OTC tags for Elk,Deer,Bear,Mountain Lion.
