Just wondering if anybody has heard when tejon will restart hunting operations? I know spring acces is not going to happen this year, but i need to schedule a group hunt for my archery club, and they are the only place that can accomodate the number of hunters i have. I tried to stop by the office but missed them by a few minutes. Figured maybe some of the guys on the forum who have been hunting there longer then me have been given some info. Thanks.

Tejon Ranch agreed to pay $100,000 in penalties, $21,500 to the fish and game department to cover the costs of its investigation, and $15,000 in restitution, which will be directed to Kern County Animal Control, Mitchell said.
Tejon Ranch officials initially called Sanders' allegations "ridiculous and untrue."

In a prepared statement Friday, Tejon Ranch spokesman Barry Zoeller said the company "wants to express its deep regret that such incidents took place on ranch property and the company is doing everything within its power to ensure that something like this never happens again."

Zoeller also said the killings "occurred without the knowledge and/or consent of Tejon Ranch's senior officers."

Tejon Ranch has temporarily suspended its hunting operations with the cooperation of state and federal wildlife authorities. The suspension will remain in force until the company completes an evaluation of the operations.

I heard from someone who is involved there that it may, MAY, reopen in time for turkey season. Just a rumor so don't hold me to it and no I won't say who either.

Talked to a guy at their booth at the Central Valley Boat, RV, and Outdoor show in Kern County on Saturday. I did not get a name, but think he might go by dillweed. Anyway, dillweed said that they didn't have any info but they hope it would re-open in a few months. And no, he wasn't an dillweed because of his lack of info, but because of the manner in which he shared his lack of info.

Well, I called Jodi yesterday after seeing this post, and she said they have not started any bookings yet, and she would let me know when they opened it back up again.

Maybe your buddy is getting a back door deal.......
