I'm headed over grapevine to Bakersfield later this week. I will try to remember to stop at Ranch Headquarters and ask what's going on. I'll post what I'm told. That may not be until next Monday/Tues if I can't/don't get on the WWW until I'm back home. Usually I can get on the computer, but I'm doing some heavy remodeling at the Bakersfield house and will be busy and probably very sore & tired (if not dead) by the end of the day.

Any news anyone? It is now into June...We need intell!

I sent an email to Jodi the other day, and she usually responds within an hour or 2. She didn't reply this time..... Probably getting bombarded with requests.

OK, I stopped at the Ranch HQ. Was told that I needed to go across the street to Wildlife management HQ.

Jump back in car...drive from driveway to driveway.
Bad RP, no seatbelt while driving across the street.;D

Anyway, I talked with the gala t the front desk and she said that they are not releasing any information for another 4-6 weeks. Apparently they still have a few things to work out before they get it going again.

So. That's the scoop right from the horse's, er, receptionist's mouth.

I've heard they are talking to the guides about elk and deer so it appears they are gonna have fall hunts. Some of those hunts have written contracts I'm told with non profit orgs like MDF so they have to honor those hunts. Whether they will ever let the public on to free roam is still up in the air it appears.

I stopped by the resources management office at Tejon today. The news, I'm sorry to say, is that Tejon has not restarted the hunting programs. They have no new information as to when they will restart the hunting programs. There is nothing being told to anyone and no one was available to discuss it with me. There is nothing being put onto the website either. Nor is there anyone to contact other than Jodi. (Who BTW, has been overheard by the receptionist as saying "I don't know...." quite a lot to other people who are asking the same question.)

So, I would venture to say that Tejon is probably out for the rest of the year.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Edit: Sorry good natured humor can be misinterpreted in written form easily. Anyhoo, I have heard about how Tejon will open "soon" so many times I just don't believe it hehe. I would love to be wrong :pig-laughing:
