I seen this note on there website and don't understand exactly what it's for....

"Please have your coolers filled with ice and bring 2 bags of deer corn per hunter, prior to your arrival. Deer corn can be bought locally at Wal-Mart or the feed store."

maybe someone can explain.????????

They probably dont have ice, so bring your own.

I am led to believe that if you want to corn the road, bring your own corn (eg they are not going to provide that). For those not familiar with hunting in Texas, on many Texas ranches, the brush is so thick and impenetrable, that you hunt along roads, pipelines, or other right of ways. Hogs will feed on corn that is spread along the road to give you extra time to decide and/or squeeze the trigger.

Thanks Chris.. that makes sense. I understood why you would bring ice but the DEER CORN threw me off a little.

Or it could be a great snack if you get really bored while waiting for those "trophy" animals to show themselves.............

I don't see it necessarily as a scam. The $225 is the meal, lodging, and guide fees. It's not hidden. You pay that same $225 if you book the regular hunt, in addition to the full cost of the hunt.

I would definitely check some references on this operation before booking, though.
