Hell yes I use a 35 Remington in a Marlin 336D loaded with 180 Speer FN or 200 gr Coreloks it is a killing machine.
I own a gun shop do repairs, sales, etc. so I also own a bunch of quality custom guns. But my do everything gun is a little Marlin 18.5" 35 Rem. I've killed hogs, blk bears, deer, elk and caribou with it. It surely will kill even the largest of hogs.

I have a friend, who now lives in Florida after retiring from LAPD, that used a .35 Remington Marlin 336 on several hogs and all were one-shot kills. It works just fine in the hands of a good shot within reasonable range - less than 200 yards. More than that and the trajectory makes hitting well difficult.

It is much better than a .30-30.
