Althought I got a nice buck out Idaho in October, I'm a little bored and unfulfilled as my local areas to hunt are all closed due to fire. To make matter worse I patterned a nice buck this last weekend on
BLM land. The ranger says I just can't hunt there for whatever reason. Frankly I feel being a hunter in California I am just not welcome.
Anyways work is pretty much under contol and I still want to hunt some more this season. I hunt a great area in Colorado and have done really well. Its an in-expensive hunt with tags and license costing only $250. If you guys are strong we can climb the mountains and carry our elk out on our backs or I have access to horses $350 each hunter (I say let the horses carry them out). Anyways time is running short. If there are some fairly in shape guys that want a true mountain adventure hunt with high success for cow elk I say lets getem dun.
With horses if you are a decent hunter you have a 85% chance at success without horses probably 75% and much more work.
Its a very fun low pressure (not like bull hunting), Mountain adventure cheap hunt with high success. If you like it we can put in for the Any Elk tags for next year and get a fair shot at a bull. I'm 46 but can keep up with most the 30 year olds. You need to be in pretty fair shape to make it fun. Knowing horses is a huge plus.
Let me know as time is running short.
