I always hear that people have an issue with one of the cops. I started having issues and complained to his supervisor and was retaliated against. The reason being is I’m the only person who has filed complaints. If you are having problems with him now is the time to file a complaint, as I was told if so many people have issues how have no one but you stood up? I hunt there every day it’s open so I see them more but this deer season did anyone else have issues?

Police on Fort Hunter Liggett have absolutely nothing to do. If the posted Speed Limit is 50, it means 49. Don't stop your vehicle anywhere except the Information Station (public restrooms) and your designated hunting area. If you do those things they shouldn't have a reason to hassle you. That being said they can not be worse than they were in the 90s and early 2000s...you had to pass through their main gate...which meant registration and proof of insurance on your vehicle AND every firearm was looked at and checked to see if it was unloaded AND handguns had to be in locked cases AND ammunition could not be in that locked handgun case but had to be in your locked glove compartment (who has one of those?) They would issue citations generously for any and all of the above AND they would not even let you on the base or pass through to the LPNF or the coast. They finally got smart and pulled in the perimeter of their secured area so you no longer have to go through their 'main gate' when passing through. I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with one police officer. Hopefully some others can chime in and assist your effort to address any problematic behavior.
