I'll be up there around 7am I think. I have to stop by the office after I setup camp to get my bobcat tags stamped otherwise I'd be there earlier.

See ya there!

Hey all,

Weather is looking to be significant with winter storm warnings in effect, snow level down to 3500ft by Monday morning with up to 12" expected. Grapevine going to be interesting.

I may wait until Tuesday before heading up unless the forecast improves!

Ya'll be careful out there...

what's up guys I'll be there Monday scouting it out. This is my first year with the membership. I'm pumped to learn the ranch and fill a couple of tags. Let me know if you guys have any advice. Looking forward to meeting up with some of you guys sometime.

After the rains we had, I'd expect the roads to be nasty right now. I hope they dry out for you guys a bit until opening day.

Cheers,

I'm leaving on the 13th for this comming weekend. By the looks of the cams it might be a lot more walking than driving.

Went up yesterday to pick up some tags and check the roads.........what a mess, it's easy going up just a real pain coming down. Even the UTV's had to stop at some points and take the easy way out thankfully I know the back way out. Key point like Phil has said before if the roads look bad it won't get any better. On the up side the oats will be 4' this year making finding pig a lot more challenging.
Talked to Damien he has shot 2 yotes with his bow and stalked the biggest boar he's ever seen on the ranch but no love except an hour hike up the hill back to the road. I saw about 12 pigs that we could get to with a little hike due to the roads being so bad!<O:p</O:p

Another hunter killed a boar up bear trap earlier in the week that’s the one on the skinning rack. Lots of mud and snow should be fun this weekend with 2 steps up and sliding 4 backwards. Luckily we have a warm RV to get away from the rain and snow!<O:p></O:p>

Looking rugged up there!

Hmmm... got a couple of us heading up next week. Looks like I better get the boots broke in... more hiking than usual!

I say, "Bring it!"
