Me and my buddy will be setting up camp on friday 23rd. It will be our first pig hunt and first time to FHL. If anyone is heading there come on by we will have plenty of beer to go around. We will have a silver ford truck, and maybe my black Armada and two tents, one the size of a coffin. lol

I'll be there after reading the "Who Says There are No Pigs on Public Land Series" should have been there last weekend (kicking myself for not going). Have been seeing alot more animals moving around in this weather on the drive home from work every day on land that is post for no trespassing of course!

Hunted sun up to sun down in 15 on sat, didnt see much sign, some old rooting and track but thats about it. lots of coyotes out there got a few shots off but didnt leed them enough. Got a late start today, one to many beers saturday night. Got out to 24 around 0800 saw some old rooting but the rain washed away any tracks and there wernt anything fresh. Me and my buddy checked out around 2pm we were beat, when we checked out no pigs had been taken yet, and they were telling me people were complaining all weekend about no pig sign anywhere. Ill be back however, i had a total blast out there, i wish it wasnt a 3 hour drive, but even thats not so bad. I was impressed by how friendly and helpfull the staff there was, and the terain is beautifull. I'm going to try and get me a G8 tag this year and get me one of those does that were all over the place.

I went through the same thing, hit 15 all day Sat, then went to 25 today. No fresh tracks, found a few good spots for the future. There was a lot of hunters last I heard no hog kills. So far haven't taken any hogs from FHL yet, a lot of country to cover. New to the area so wasn't expecting to get one the first few trips. I think Livetohunt killed them all last week. Going back week after. The first 20 does was nice to see, then they started to piss me off. Saw over a 100 does easy. Saw a lot of turkey in a different area.

his buddy didn't want the big lone boar staring at him and was hoping for bigger one similar to the weekend before. that guy never showed up and we all went home empty handed. at least by this coming Saturday, that guy will gain another 5lb. hehe.
