I'm in Castro Valley, we should hook up sometime. Maybe try the area near San Luis reservoir, not too far from us.

San Luis Reservoir is shotgun or Archery only. Your pig hunt could quickly turn to a yote hunt because have see those there along with a huge heard of Tule Elk.

I am headed to Bryson June 7-8 for the 1 day 200 hunt. Myself my dad and some other guy i just met are going. I have been wanting to go to the area near Monterey that the hunters have been pestered by the land owner and Deputy Sheriff. With all the fires Indian Valley might produce just have to watch out for all the ticks

Have you been there before? If not, hunt the graveyard. Lots of good spots to ambush pigs when they are moving through the area.

I've been to Indian Valley a couple of times this last winter without seeing anything...but I'm told you can still get lucky there. I'm thinking of hitting it up again for a day trip before the end of June. Once it gets hot its nothing but rattle snakes and ticks. Upper Cottonwood Creek above San Luis is another option for a day trip, but its an pretty gnarly uphill hike and the pigs rarely cross over from the private land. Let me know if any of you bay area guys are thinking of getting a FHL permit for next year. We could try and go at least a couple of guys at a time to keep the gas cost down.
