Nothing really near Tahoe.....some pigs are relocating to the GrassValley/Nevada City area as well as towards Auburn and the Spenceville Management area holds pigs.....none of these are what i'd call good or fair spots to chase pigs...unfortunately

I head to Reno/Carson City on business a couple times a month....is there decent BLM or NF land to yote hunt on close by? Would rather spend my evenings chasing critters that doing computer work in the hotel.

I can give you a couple of places in that area where you can do something MUCH more fun than doing computer work in the hotel.

LX, you'll need to come all the way over the Sierra to get to the hogs. They're working their way into the foothills, but I expect it's gonna be a while before they get over the mountains to your side of the world... if they get there at all.

Arrow, drop me a line when you are heading over this way and i point you in some good country to get some doggies, there is tons on land out here thats federal pretty much head east out of town and you in yote country, if im off work ill try to go with ya, my other buddy is foaming at the mouth to go out and get some, i also know where those place are that speck speaks of

Speck, you happen to be able to narrow it down to a certain foothill for me. J/K but i would take any general direction to start in. I do wish that there were some hogs out here to bad its illeagal to transport across state lines

Wish I could narrow it down for you, 'cause I would. But I don't hunt over there, so don't know much about the area. I do know they're showing up more and more easterly in both Kern and Fresno counties. Also, I was looking at some property near Mariposa, and some of the photos were of a herd of pigs on one of the lots. They say they're not thick (this was a couple years back), but they're there.

Hope that helps... a little.

I'm heading to Reno Tuesday of next week, working Wednesday...if you're up for chasing some yotes, letmeknow. If i knew of some local pig spots, i'd letyaknow, but they're scattered 'round here.....i know of people that've shot'em north/west of Auburn....but that's as close as i've heard.
