April or May hunt

I finally got a buddy of mine to get his license and start hunting now I got to decide where to take him. Also 2 other guys that I have been going to Jack ranch with want to go. So I was thinking Camp Roberts but I know there is about 90% chance of not seeing a hog even though I love the place. Is there a Tejon hunt coming up? I saw May but I didn't see a date. Jack Ranch is all booked up.

There are a few guides that advertise here on the Forum. Those are some excellent choices. It really just depends on what kind of hunt you are looking for. Do you want a guided hunt? A do it yourself? What is the experience level of your buddy? Sounds like it might be his first real trip. Might seriously look at a guided hunt to make sure that he is safe, and should give him the best opportunity to harvest a pig.

The May Tejon hunt is 23-25. Great opportunity and good price, if you can wait that long. Check the relevant threads for more info.

There's a regularl Tejon POR next month, and it's not sold out, or wasn't last time I spoke to Barbara.

It's a tough time to get a guided hunt, since this is prime time for the next few months, especially for four guys.

I have hunted the jack ranch many times, we actually cancelled our spot there in august as the guys had been up there twice before in june and july and said that they are hunting the place out......we saw about 20 pigs but we covered 40000 acres of land and they were all small pigs.. Tejon is close and i did see lots of pigs...see u guys in april...i will be there...anyone from last hunt coming as this will be my first on the north side of tejon...
