AR 15 Lube

Oil or Grease? Lots of charts and different materials being used. CLP, Mobil 1, bearing grease, gun oil.

How often and how much.

Clean it with break free & hoppees solvent. Finishing touch is rem oil

I use Hoppees to clean and Frog Lube. I use a liberal amount.

I use Frog Lube (or its cousin SEAL 1) because they make cleaning so much easier--especially the BCG.

Frog Lube is the best stuff around. Dont over do it. Just enough to put a sheen on it. Unless youre going to put it up for a while. Then hook it up with a real generous coat

lucas gun oil...rem oil doesnt work as well in the AR's (seems to blows out with first shot)....bought a couple bottles from pep boys...Thick like tranny fluid, odorless and wont freeze...
