Archery bear season starting on the 17th...anyone going besides me ?

We are going to hunt that weekend for sure. Have our bear tags . Our plan is to kill one this year . The last two years we have had good opportunities and just havnt committed to taking one. The conversation goes like well let’s shoot a buck first . Then I’ll be like there’s a nice bear let’s take him . Wife will say. “You said we were going to get a buck first “ . He’s gone. We are damn good bird hunters together but when it’s big game time “we have had some epic fails” haha

D14 and D11 for me. I’ve seen a lot of bear scat and deer tracks by lake arrowhead on rouse ranch road, but my cameras haven’t caught a single thing

I’ll be in a treestand at this camera august 17th before the suns up for sure! I had a bear on camera every other day at this spot. Super pumped I thought I was going to be out of town for the opener.

Goal is to have a bear down before deer season opens.

I’m going to be hunting in D11, I went scouting for deer this weekend and found an active site. Hopefully I’ll get a chance, as I will be heading back out to retrieve trail cam footage the opening day. Anyone willing to hike in 4 miles up by buckthorn th can join, PM me.
