Sorry Sierra, March has historically been one of the worst months of the year, especially around the end of the month.

Yeah but if it is any consolation, the first 3 days in April are traditionally a pig shoot-o-rama with all the hogs coming out of hiding and feeding after dodging the hunters from late March

At least there is enough time between the march hunt and the may hunt for the pigs replenish
<
because after the march hunt there will be no pigs left for those april hunters

OK that clinches it me!

Since March is the worst month for taking hogs "historicly speaking"
Then we should get a handicap over the Best month "April"
when you consider the A.S. factor and multiply that by the number of hunters during both months divided by the total average annual harvest by month.
subtract my birthday.
March should get a three pig handicap. Add it up yourself the numbers just don't lie!

Is this considered hijacking a thread?

Hey guys, I'm for sure in. Wife even approved it
<
. Chopper just shoot me an email to let me know the details of how to get you the deposit and any other info I need before hand.

Guys, this is my first time hunting pig (I've only hunted whitetail before), so looking forward to meeting you all. Any pointers you have for gear I'll need (besides what I would need for a whitetail) let me know. I just plan on bringing my traditional pack (survival kit, binoculars, compass, wind indicators, and the bow, arrows, and spare string).

I'll also be attending the California Dept. of Fish & Game's wild pig clinic on April 30, so hopefully I'll also pick up additional insight on specifics for pig.

A good knife when you have to crawl through the tunnels to finish off your pig...
