I've never put in for units 5 or 6 and I don't think I ever will, there is a big turnover of elk there and it seems that most the bulls harvested are raghorns or "nice" 6x6's but nothing impressive. I'm sure that now and then someone bags a big one but I wouldn't hunt there expecting to see the big ones. If you just want an elk and don't care about the bone on top of his head then go for it.

I saw you lurking around on the site. I know you did. I will have to put your wife on a bigger cow this year. She will go 2 for 2. I think there are impresive bulls in every area. I think you just need to put the time in. I have been watching this one bull for four years and he is very smart. Maybe one of these years I will get drawn and he and I will have it out
