Good Morning Fellow Hunters,

Anyone plan on hunting AZ this fall.
I plan on putting in for a cow tag to put some meat on the table.
Theres nothing like elk chile verde, elk chili, elk kabobs, jerky...I better stop, I am getting hungry.

This is my first time hunting Elk. I am very excited. Luckily I am going with my uncle who has hunted elk in AZ many times and has succeded with 4 elk.

Jess.

My son and I are putting in for a rifle bull hunt whereas my daughter and her friend are shooting for cow. The money up front thing hurts. But have to pay to play....

Finally putting in my last two aps today---CA & AZ. I'll be putting in for rifle deer and archery elk, antelope & sheep points. I hope to draw a tag within 10 years but figure it'll most likely be 5 or 6 years before I draw.

Thinking Javelina a time or two most likely before I draw a deer or elk tag.

I would love to hunt Arizona, but not this year. AZ Residents are gonna get hosed in the drawings with it being a "free-for-all". Personally IMO, if they dont have enough Elk to give all the Residents a Tag, they shouldn't have to share with everyone else.

I'd hate knowing that if I drew a tag, some guy living there would be sitting at home going Elk hunting via the Outdoor Channel

But then again, you might just be taking the tag from another nonresident. If you drew and felt really guilty, offer to buy an AZ resident a CO elk tag and take him/her hunting in CO this year to make up for it.

Hey don't forget all those "Land Owner Vouchers" in Colorado. Those guys who buy those things are the " Problem Hunters"

I hope to meet you this season, we will know next week

Well, I've thought long & hard and changed my mind. Residency does mean something and should be protected.

I think residents should not be able to hunt outside their county boundaries unless they pay non-resident fees.

This would solve most wildlife agencies budget woes.
