Well here I go agian, just got done hunting with the crossbow for the last 3 1/2 hrs. Since the crack of dawn and no piggies yet. Weather is warm and Cool swirling winds right now. Didn't find to much fresh sign so far but the day is early. Getting ready to hit another area, stay tuned.........tra

Just completed another area already ran into 5 hikers and dogs I can see today is going to be a real tough one! Just finished hunting with the compound now and gettin ready to hunt with my dads recurve in the next area I am heading too where I know there won't be any hikers, its short but sweet, see what happens.....tra

I hunted there last Friday and half day on Saturday. Saw three pigs on the public side. Saw two sows and a bunch of piglets on the wrong side of a fence and at least 20 hogs in the main closed area while we were driving back to the boat launch on Friday evening.

Man its been tuff hunting so far more hikers and hunters, getting redie to do the evening hunt, I am pretty beat up from the heat and hills, see how much longer I can last.....tra

This is the only sign I have been finding today, dried up piggie mcnugguts!

thanks everyone! yeh bobbyz u didnt miss out on anything yesterday thats for sure, i have to say out of all the time's i have hunted L.S. that was one of my roughist outings! i aready knew it was going to be hard seeing pigs before i got there just for the fact its been almost full moon for a few days with warmer temps and then combined with swirling winds doesnt help either, then throw in all the midweek high activity of people and dogs and other hunters it was kind of a Zoo, it was just crazy but thats public land for ya. try too find some new and different areas off the trail where i knew there would be no activity to hunt too keep me intrested and going for the whole day that wasnt too bad , but no success either, but it Beats work!

than god for finding the Pig McNugget's, i kept those in my pocket all day for good luck! (remind me to wash my hunting pants)

it was exciting to hunt with my dads trad bow yesterday, cant wait to hunt with it again.

I hope to try and get one more outing before the end of the season in march to get a last chance piggie at L.S........tra

Glad you had a good time, I already have the time off work so put in your request for the 21st-24th I may head up Tuesday night after work but not sure yet. Did you go to the spot I told you about. Let me know if you can make it.

Hello LS Pig Hunters!

Remember the pig season ends March 28 with no hunting Monday and Tuesday.

Now that I got that boring stuff out of the way here is an update: 16 pigs have been taken so far with 686 registered hunters. As most of you know this time last year there were close to 40 pigs taken but hang in there, I’ve had a lot of pig hunters come into the office and let me know that they have seen LOTS of pigs. In fact one hunter gave me the “ok” to let everyone know that he took a pig accessing the Madrone Point fireroad recently. He was so hyped because it was his first pig. It was great talking to him and hearing the excitement in his voice as he told me how he made his kill.
