It got really dark and I was able to make out some figures in the field where the pigs come in from. I got on my knee and had the gun pointed and waited for the pig to come in. I only saw the smaller pig, watched her get spooked, run, stop, and then I shot. I just missed getting the shot on video from the game cam. I hit the pig where it is in the video and she ran towards me. I could hear her hooves hitting the ground as she got closer, she ended up biting the dust right next to me. It was all so close, it was crazy man...Raw footage as TRA would say, I had a great time that night. And yes, I gave the pig to a friend on the way out.

Just out of curiosity... what do you normally bring as the sidearm when you pop'em in the head like that to make sure?

Wtg my friend! Out of all my hunting equipment I never owned or used a manufactured blind I prefer a natural blind set up like u did for this hog.
I believe just having the right camo clothing on with scent control and playing the wind I like to find a tree with a huge trunk on a travel route and just post up against it and blend in with bow in hand and wait to ambush as they pass within in feet of u.
Of course it takes patience and calculation and luck to b in the right spot at the right time for them to show up and come through for the ambush especially at sunset u only one shot trying to predict what a wild pig would do always seems to b a 50/50 shot for them to show up or not.
Anyways cool video and I am sure your friends enjoy the pork no matter which way u harvest them legally, I know it takes a lot of work, time and money for amo and gas and feeder set ups.
Your effort to eradicate pigs and share with us is appreciated, have a great day my friend......tra

Thanks TRA, I like to call it "game management" btw. I have to keep changing my tactics with these hogs, they keep changing theirs. It's a lot of effort but when it pays off it really is satisfying.

Of course you have to keep changing tactics, after all, your schooling the ones that you don't shoot. But hey, that is the challenge, and the fun of hunting them.

Keep the reports coming!

I'm letting this property rejuvenate until I start seeing more piglets. Moving another feeder this weekend to a property I haven't hunted for 6 months. I built my "hunting club" there right on a good pig trail. I can drive my truck to it.
